How the championship performs: The regional tournaments — at 16 areas — are double elimination and are scheduled for the 19th-21st. The 16 winners advance to the super regional tournament and play in a two-group, finest-of-3 25-27 series. May well or 26-28 May well. Eight winners earn spots in the 2023 Women’s College Globe Championship. The VCVS starts June 1 in a double-elimination format. The bottom two teams play a finest-of-3 series for the national championship beginning June 7.
