On Monday, components of Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom had been closed due to bear sightings. On the other hand, the bear was captured without having incident and is becoming relocated, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FVC) stated in a statement. FVC stated that it is typically finest to give bears space and let them move on their personal, but in this scenario, the animal was captured and will be relocated to an region in or about the Ocala National Forest. The bear is stated to be an adult female.
For the duration of the bear sighting, almost a dozen Magic Kingdom attractions had been closed. Amongst them are: Swiss Household Treehouse, Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Jungle Cruise, Enchanted Tiki Area, Pirates of the Caribbean, Nation Bear Jamboree, Tom Sawyer Island, Walt Disney Globe Railroad, Liberty Square Riverboat, Hall of Presidents, and Haunted Mansion. It is unclear how several of these closures had been straight associated to bear sightings.
Aerial footage from CNN affiliate VESH shows FVC personnel removing a bear from a wooded region close to the Magic Kingdom’s “It is a Smaller Globe” ride. The bear was observed becoming carried off the field in a tarp.
Disney has stated that it is functioning with FVC and that they have decided to reopen Frontierland, Liberty Square and Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom Park. The resort also involves 3 other key parks: EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom.
It is not however identified if the bear sighting has prompted any closures. CNN has reached out to Disney for extra details, but has not heard back at this time.
