Robert Rust, a 36-year-old man from Stirling Road, Northstowe, Cambridge, admitted robbing eight businesses. He pleaded guilty at Cambridge Magistrates' Court on April 12 following a series of burglaries at businesses in Cambridge during March, including takeaways and convenience stores. Police reported the incidents and Rust was remanded in custody for sentencing at Cambridge Crown Court on May 6. In connection with the two burglaries, another man was sentenced to 18 months' probation.
