History was created late Thursday evening, thanks to probably the strangest segment ever recorded by a sports reporter.
That may possibly be a bit of an exaggeration, but this was nonetheless weird. Cincinnati sportswriter Jeremy Rauch has signed on to tease his upcoming report for the duration of the 11:00 p.m. edition Fox 19 Nov, and then logged out. Or so he believed. Believing the network was on a industrial break, Rauch started killing time by strutting about the studio.
The dilemma, on the other hand, is that Fox 19 under no circumstances managed to break down, leaving Rauch unconscious on camera with a hot microphone for 35 seconds. Rauch went on to speak to an individual off-camera, but without having context, it sounded like awkward gibberish to the audience.

“Really…huh…that’s a great point…yeah, like…thanks App State,” Rauch rattled off. But even improved than the quote might have been Rauch’s hand gestures as he stepped in front of the camera.
Displaying a great sense of humor about the entire issue, shortly right after the segment aired on Fox 19, Rauch essentially tweeted a video of what ought to be the weirdest 35 seconds of his Television profession. He added some context, explaining that he was waiting to record a a single-minute editorial for the network’s morning show, and it inadvertently went reside.
“I was on camera tonight with a hot mic for 35 seconds for the duration of a program break,” Rauch tweeted. “There are a couple of moments right here that never make sense without having explanation, and I like that.”
And so, without having additional context, they will nonetheless make zero sense. This was the type of hot-mic incident that would make any viewer hold their breath although watching reside, but it earned a laugh when the network went industrial without having any untoward incident. By means of no fault of his personal, Rauch was place in a risky spot due to a “program failure”, but he permitted us all to take pleasure in what he was a great sport about. As hot mic incidents go, this is a single that everybody can laugh at.
