Running back JK Dobbins is currently in Kansas City to meet with the Chiefs as he continues his search for a new team. After visiting the Chargers last week, Dobbins is looking to return after suffering an Achilles injury in Week 1 of the 2023 regular season. Despite the recent injury, Dobbins has been cleared for all football activities, according to an NFL media report.

The former second-round pick had a strong rookie season in 2020, rushing for 805 yards with nine touchdowns and averaging 6.0 yards per carry. He missed the entire 2021 season with a torn ACL, but returned in 2022, playing in eight games and averaging 5.7 yards per carry.

Dobbins’ visit to the Chiefs comes after teammate Gus Edwards signed with the Chargers last month. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Dobbins is expected to sign with a new team soon, indicating that his meetings with AFC West teams could lead to a deal in the near future. With his impressive play on the field and clearance for all football activities, it seems likely that Dobbins will find a new home soon and continue his successful career as a running back.
