The 4-H Animal Science Club held its first meeting of the year at the Boyle County Building on September 5th. Over 75 students attended the meeting, where they learned about a variety of animals, including cows and goats, sheep, pigs and poultry. . Students had the opportunity to see a cow being milked by the Southland Mobile Dairy and had the opportunity to learn how to make butter. Additionally, Jaimie Ross demonstrated the process of making goat’s milk soap. Emily Violet, Ray Graves and Taylor Graves generously provided the animals for the event.
