Alica Schmidt, the German athlete known for her stunning looks and impressive athletic achievements, has revealed that she recently turned down a big sponsorship offer from a famous brand. During an interview on the OMR podcast, the 25-year-old runner explained that she did not fully agree to the proposed deal.
Schmidt, who has over five million followers on Instagram, also has a separate partnership with BOSS. She indicated that the rejected offer would be worth a significant sum, possibly in the mid to high six figures.
However, Schmidt noted that members of the German national team typically receive about $739 a month in sponsorship through Sporthilfe. This organization supports athletes, and Schmidt herself aims to make a team for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris this summer.
Despite the physical demands of her sport, Schmidt emphasized the sense of accomplishment she feels after pushing her limits during training. She experienced success at the European Under-20 Athletics Championships and the Under-23 European Athletics Championships, winning silver and bronze medals.
As Schmidt works towards her Olympic goals, her decision to turn down a lucrative sponsorship offer shows her commitment to her personal values and priorities as an athlete.
