Recently, several outstanding athletes from the Altoona area were recognized for their exceptional performances in their respective sports. Morgan Sarver, a sophomore forward at Slippery Rock University and a graduate of Altoona Area High School, was named to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference girls soccer all-conference team. Sarver stood out as a valuable member of the Rock, starting all 18 of her appearances and finishing third in the PSAC in shots and fourth in shots on goal. She ended the season with six goals and nine assists, contributing significantly to the team’s success.

Additionally, four student-athletes made the all-conference list: junior libero Anna Batrus was a first-team All-AMCC selection; senior outside hitter Lacee Barnhart and Simanski were both second-team selections; and junior middle Makena Port earned third-team honors. McGreal led the Lady Lions to their third conference championship this season.
