Alyssa Henry, CEO of Block Inc’s fintech unit Square, will leave the company on October 2, according to a regulatory filing on Monday. This comes after her nine-year tenure with the company. After the announcement, shares of Block Inc fell 2.7% to $49.86. Prior to her role at Square, Henry was a vice president at Amazon Web Services and served on the boards of Intel and Unity Technologies, a software firm. Block, led by CEO Jack Dorsey, specializes in merchant payment services and offers a cryptocurrency trading app. Last month, the company reported an increase in quarterly revenue, driven by higher payment volumes.
