In the aftermath of Israeli bombing, Palestinian dentist Najdat Sakr refused to let his passion for treating others wither. Despite the destruction of his clinic in Gaza, he set up a temporary clinic in a tent in the Nuseirat refugee camp. With no electricity or water, it was difficult for him to reopen his practice. But Sakr remained determined and worked tirelessly to continue serving his patients.

He explained that endodontic treatment made up the majority of his work, and he was running out of anesthesia. Despite these challenges, Sakr proudly displayed his professional qualification certificates on tent poles as a reminder of all the hard work he had put into getting them. He had worked hard to earn those certificates and was determined to bring them with him wherever he went.

The story of Najdat Sakr is just one example of how people are finding creative ways to overcome adversity and continue their passions despite difficult circumstances. Whether it’s starting a business or simply finding joy in everyday activities, people are learning how to adapt and find new solutions to old problems.
