During a recent interview, Apple CEO Tim Cook sat down with tech YouTuber Marcus Brownlee to discuss some of the company’s most iconic products. When asked to blindly rank five of Apple’s most popular devices, including the Vision Pro, iPad, MacBook Air, iPhone and the Magic Mouse, Cook emphasized how ergonomics were key in creating these products.

One of the most controversial products that Cook mentioned was the Magic Mouse. Although it may not be as well-known as some of Apple’s other products, Cook stressed its importance in Apple’s product line. Released in 2015, the Magic Mouse 2 faced criticism for its design, particularly the charging system that made it unusable while plugged in. However, Cook described its creation as an “incredible moment” and highlighted how ergonomics were crucial in making it stand out from other mouse designs.

Cook also referenced one of Apple’s most famous product launches when Steve Jobs introduced the MacBook Air in 2008. Jobs famously pulled the MacBook Air out of a manila envelope to demonstrate how thin and portable it was. According to Cook, this moment defined the device and laid the foundation for its success by establishing features that resonated with consumers. Overall, Cook emphasized the importance of designing products that are both functional and user-friendly, which has been a key factor in Apple’s success as a company.
