The Austin’s Lake Travis Independent School District has announced plans to construct two new facilities using bonds, starting in 2022. Conceptual designs for the projects were presented at a recent school board meeting.
The first facility is a primary school, called Primary School Number 8, which will be built on Hamilton Pool Road. The new campus will feature beautiful views, ample play space and plenty of teaching space, making it an exciting prospect for students and staff alike.
In addition to the primary school, the district will also be building a new science facility that will be connected to Lake Travis High School. This state-of-the-art facility will include cutting-edge technology, classrooms with laboratory space and flexible classroom spaces. The two-story structure is designed to meet the needs of both teachers and students and provide an innovative learning environment for science education.
While the designs were shared during the meeting, a final decision on the designs will be made after the board reviews and evaluates the plans. The district is committed to providing the best educational facilities for its students and is excited about the improvements these new facilities will bring.
