The Fred Kisner Center for Entrepreneurship at Loyola Marymount University will host its second quarterly Family Business Forum on June 28, 2024 at LMU’s Playa Vista Campus. The theme of this event is “Navigating performance, responsibility and culture” in family businesses.

Family businesses play a crucial role in the US economy, accounting for 64% of GDP. The Kiesner Center aims to support these businesses through the Family Entrepreneurship Program. This program helps family businesses innovate and thrive, ultimately strengthening families, businesses and communities.

Dr. David Choi, Conrad N. Hilton Chair for entrepreneurship and director of the Fred Kiesner Center, highlighted the importance of professionalization and strengthening of family businesses. The forum will focus on obtaining objective guidance, recruiting top talent and creating a positive organizational culture.

The upcoming event promises to be educational, offering valuable insights and opportunities for family businesses to network and grow together. At the event, panelists such as Andres Terech, Dennis Parnagian, RJ Maier, Bill Stranberg and Brittany Aldredge will share their expertise on building effective advisory boards, recruiting talented managers and fostering a strong family-business culture.
