The Denver Broncos made a new addition to their roster by signing first baseman Ronnie Perkins from the New England Patriots practice squad. Despite being a third-round pick out of Oklahoma in 2021, Perkins has struggled to secure a spot on the Patriots’ active roster. During his rookie season, he was largely inactive before being placed on injured reserve. Last year, he remained on injured reserve for the entire season. During the summer preseason, Perkins played in one game and recorded nine tackles.

In week two, the Broncos were without Frank Clark due to a hip injury sustained during practice. Clark’s absence is indefinite, providing an opportunity for Perkins to potentially make his regular season debut and help fill the void left by Clark.
