A Chicago firefighter is anticipated to be placed on leave soon after getting accused of operating an “erotic massage” company out of his apartment.
Brendan Kennedy-Gasior, 37, faces a felony charge of advertising prostitution and was released from custody Friday soon after posting a $500 bond set by Cook County Judge Kelly McCarthy, court records show.
Kennedy-Gasior, of the North Park neighborhood, was taken into custody Thursday morning, according to his arrest report.
“These are extremely critical allegations and do not reflect the requirements of conduct anticipated of our members,” fire division spokesman Larry Langford stated.
The Police Department’s Human Trafficking Group was initially notified of the allegations by the Fire Department’s Internal Affairs Division in 2020, according to police records.
Kennedy-Gassior was identified to police by a 23-year-old lady who stated he instructed her to set the price tag of an erotic massage at $150 for a half hour and $200 for an hour session, according to the report.
The lady told the police that she had performed as quite a few as 50 massages at his house.
Kennedy-Gasior received half of the proceeds when she performed the sexual acts, the report stated. The acts allegedly took location at Kennedy-Gassior’s apartment though he was at house.
Police stated Kennedy-Gasior posted advertisements for erotic massage solutions on adult internet sites and that guys looking for the solutions would contact a telephone quantity and be directed to Kennedy-Gasior’s house, which was positioned 1,000 feet from the college.
Neither Kennedy-Gasior nor his lawyer could be reached for comment Saturday.
Langford stated Kennedy-Gasior was hired by the division in 2019 and operates as an engineer, driving a fire truck.
Kennedy-Gasior was on healthcare leave when he was arrested, Langford stated. He is anticipated to return to perform subsequent week and has been placed on paid administrative leave though the case continues.
“The accused is at the moment on leave from active duty.” CFD will continue to help CPD in this investigation,” Langford stated.
Kennedy-Gasior is anticipated back in court on April 14.
