Chesapeake Technology International (CTI) recently acquired Asymmetric Technologies, a company founded in 2011 that specializes in open source, flight controller and waveform technologies tailored to the specific needs of national security and Department of Defense clients. The acquisition is aimed at enhancing CTI’s product portfolio and technology capabilities to better serve its customers.

CTI’s CEO, Jay Moorman, expressed his excitement about the new opportunities this acquisition will bring to the company. By integrating Asymmetric’s IronClad and Whisper systems into its offering, CTI aims to provide its customers with more comprehensive software and dedicated hardware products. This transaction marks CTI’s second investment in delivering new platforms to meet the DoD’s unmanned aircraft system requirements.

As a portfolio company of Bluestone Investment Partners, a private equity firm focused on mid-market companies in the defense and government services sectors, CTI is well positioned to provide its clients with state-of-the-art solutions. The acquisition reflects CTI’s commitment to investing in its business to address evolving national security needs.
