The annual science fair at Cunha High School saw a return of volunteers, parents and judges after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. For two years, students presented their projects through a PowerPoint presentation. This year, however, marked a refreshing return to in-person presentations, with poster boards featuring a variety of scientific studies ranging from testing the strength of different brands of dental floss to whether teachers can differentiate between assignments written by students and artificial intelligence.
Curt Murray, a science teacher at Cunha, considered this year’s fair “a return to normalcy” and expressed his excitement at bringing the community back to the event. The event was captured by Coastside News Group photographer Anna Hoch-Kenney and a gallery is available for viewing. The return to in-person science fair presentations was a significant milestone for Cunha High School and the community.
