The new Da Vinci Science Center, located in the heart of Allentown at the PPL Pavilion, is set to open its doors on May 22. This 67,000 square foot state-of-the-art science education facility promises an immersive experience for visitors of all ages.

The first exhibit, Dinos Alive, will feature 30 life-sized animated dinosaurs, from the turkey-sized Velociraptor to the mighty T-rek. Visitors will be able to explore the inner workings of the human body at the LVHN My Body exhibit and have up-close encounters with North American river otters in the Pocono Gorge.

In addition to exhibition galleries, the Da Vinci Science Center at PPL Pavilion will offer amenities such as fully equipped classrooms, state-of-the-art laboratories and interactive workshops to foster creativity. A rooftop terrace will also be available for private events, adding to the overall visitor experience.

Lynn Erickson, Executive Director and CEO of the center, said that their vision of a world-class science center would not have been realized without strong support from everyone in Lehigh Valley and beyond. The new science center aims to immerse visitors in unique experiences inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s insatiable curiosity. “We invite everyone to come explore, learn and discover with us,” she said.
