12 families have been displaced by a fire that broke out at the Glenhaven Apartments in Delhi around 2:40 am on Sunday. Witnesses reported seeing smoke billowing into the sky, but thankfully no one was hurt in the blaze. Despite their loss of everything, the community is coming together to support these families in their time of need.

Ali Magiliano, owner of ASAP Custom Prints and Apparel, was alerted to the fire by a neighbor around 2:30 am. Despite attempts to use fire extinguishers, the smoke was too thick to allow access to the affected floors. Magilliano immediately sprang into action, using Facebook to collect donations for the victims. She asked for clothing, toiletries, bedding, towels and children’s items, and her efforts were met with an outpouring of support from the community.

In addition to Magiliano’s efforts, Delshire Elementary School is collecting gift cards to help parents with food and gas while working with the Red Cross. Anyone with donations can drop them off at ASAP Custom Prints and Apparel or Delshire Elementary School. The community is coming together to support these families in their time of need and show that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope.
