The new president of the Sardinia region, Alessandra Tode, is working to finalize an agreement on the future council with the centre-left parties of Campo Largo, with whom she won the February 25 election. The selection of councilors will be guided by criteria such as competence, gender equality, representativeness and territoriality, taking into account the indications of the coalition forces.

As the leading party in the coalition, the Democratic Party is seeking key positions such as president of the Regional Council and various departments. Names for these positions will be proposed to Todd in the coming days. Meanwhile, M5S may be assigned to Health and Labour, with the possibility of appointing a technician to the Department of Health.

Alleanza Verdi Sinistra could be responsible for public works while Orizzonte Comune seeks control over tourism, crafts and trade. Sinistra Futura aims to oversee the Department of Culture and Public Education. Various potential candidates for these positions are being considered, including outgoing regional councilors who have been re-elected in their areas.

While final decisions are being made and council roles are being distributed among coalition parties, Alessandra Tode and her team are working hard to ensure that the future council reflects diverse interests and priorities across Sardinia’s regions.
