On Sunday morning, a suspect attempted to steal guns from Dunham’s Sports in Benton Township. The incident took place around 10 am and was reported by VSJM radio. The suspect entered the store, put on a mask and broke the glass on the gun case in an attempt to make off with the firearms. However, when store employees began to respond, the suspect fled without taking any of the firearms.

This is not the first time that this store has been targeted by criminals. In December, two people were charged with kidnapping a store manager and stealing two large coolers filled with weapons. The recent incident has raised concerns about the store’s safety and security, prompting authorities to urge anyone with information to contact the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office at (269)-983-7141. It is important that the community remains vigilant and reports any suspicious activity to prevent further criminal incidents.
