In the early hours of Tuesday morning, a man was found stabbed in an alley near E 9th Street and Massachusetts in Lawrence. The incident occurred around 4:45 a.m., and the Lawrence Police Department is currently investigating a potential connection between the stabbing and vandalism at two nearby businesses.

According to a LPD Facebook post, the caller reported waking up to another man yelling that he had been stabbed. The injured man was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover. In addition, officers discovered two nearby businesses with broken windows, prompting an investigation into whether the incidents were connected.

The Lawrence Police Department is in the process of gathering information to release a description of the suspect as the investigation progresses. More details will be provided as they become available.
