According to Risto Kinnunen, an expert at the energy company Vera, the price of electricity on the stock exchange will rise on Tuesday due to an interruption in the electricity production of Olkiluoto 3. However, this increase will be short-lived as production is expected to start again on Wednesday at noon. The cause of the failure was discovered to be an incorrect temperature measurement of the generator cooling system.

Kinnunen estimates that the price of electricity could rise significantly, perhaps up to 30 cents per kilowatt-hour or even more. TVO, the competent company, has estimated that windless and colder weather is expected by the end of the week, which will cause fluctuations in watch prices.

However, Kinunen believes that by Wednesday due to start of Olkiluoto 3 production and increase in wind energy production, price will drop.
