Empower Solano will host a ceremony honoring modest firms that have effectively turned about and continued to safely serve the neighborhood for the duration of the pandemic.

5 firms will be featured at the occasion, and their owners will acquire certificates or recognition from the offices of Congressman John Garamendi, California State Senator Bill Dodd and California Assemblywoman Lori D. Wilson.

Director of the California Workplace of Smaller Small business Advocates Tara Lynn Gray will be the keynote speaker. Tim Murrill, executive director of the Solano-Napa Smaller Small business Improvement Center, will also speak.

The occasion will be held at ten a.m. Wednesday at the Solano-Napa Smaller Small business Improvement Center, 500 Chadbourne Road, Fairfield.

The public is invited and enterprise owners, entrepreneurs or any individual attempting to get started a enterprise are invited to attend. Entrance is cost-free. Refreshments will be served.

“We want to honor the modest firms that have accomplished an exceptional job maintaining their doors open and serving the public for the duration of the unprecedented situations of the previous 3 years,” stated K. Patrice Williams, CEO of Empower Solana and Fairfield City Council member, in a press release. “The occasion will also be a fantastic chance for any individual in enterprise or seeking to get started a enterprise to network and achieve important insights into the sources offered to them at the county and state level.”

Organizations honored are Journey Coffee of Fairfield and Vacaville and owners Morne and Nicole Van Staden Bai Hauling of Vallejo and its owner Juan Vallejos Two60 Kitchen and Bar of Fairfield and owner Molly Tau Marina Lounge in Suisun City and owner Elease Cheek and Tomorrow’s Property Supportive Living, positioned in Fairfield and owned by Duke and Gabrielle Phillippe-Augusta.

This occasion marks National Smaller Small business Month, which is held every year in May well to commemorate the contributions modest firms make to their communities.
