The Yampa Valley Sustainability Council and the Steamboat Springs Chamber are inviting business and organizational representatives to join them for a free workshop on “Business Leadership for Climate.” The workshop will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Routt County Health and Human Services Building (135 Sixth St.) in downtown Steamboat Springs. This is the second in a series of workshops highlighting Colorado Green Business Network programs in the Yampa Valley, part of the overall Colorado Green Business Network.

During the workshop, attendees will learn about the benefits of state-level recognition and how to navigate the accreditation application process. They will also discover strategies for accumulating certification points. Becoming certified can help businesses stand out as leaders in sustainability and align with growing consumer demand for environmentally conscious products and services. Lunch will be provided courtesy of Hypnotic Chicken with energy bars from Bar-U-Eat.

The event is open to the public, but registration is required at IVSC.org/ivsc-events. The Yampa Valley Colorado Green Business Network launched in the summer of 2022 as a free technical assistance and environmental accreditation program.
