England veteran Ashley Young has extended his contract with Everton for another year. The 38-year-old has been with the Toffees since last season, making 34 appearances as they finished 15th in the Premier League.

Negotiations with Senegal international Illimane Ndijaye of Marseille are progressing well, and he could potentially join Everton in the near future. Ndijaye, 24, scored four goals in 46 games for Marseille last season after joining from Sheffield United for £20 million.

Young’s impressive resume includes winning the Premier League, Serie A, FA Cup and Europa League, as well as earning 39 caps for England. He expressed his excitement at continuing with Everton and emphasized his love for the club and its potential for growth. Young will remain at Goodison Park until June 2025 and is determined to contribute to the team despite his age, insisting he feels better than he did at 21.

Everton captain Seamus Coleman also signed a one-year deal until June 2025 earlier this month, further strengthening their squad for next season.
