Marshall’s Economic Development Administration has announced that excavation work is currently underway at the former Kuist Moving & Storage site at the corner of East Main Street and Boyer Drive. The property, which was sold by Kuist Moving & Storage in 2023 due to a need for more space, is being developed into a new Les Schwab Tire Center.
Kuist Moving & Storage, which has been in business since 1969, has moved to a new facility along Minnesota Highway 23, expanding its presence in the area. Les Schwab Tire Centers, founded in Oregon in 1952, offers a variety of products and services related to tires, brakes, wheels, centering, batteries, shocks and struts. The upcoming location in Marshall will provide convenient access to these services for local residents. Currently, the closest Les Schwab Tire Center locations to Marshall are in Sioux Falls and Watertown, South Dakota.
The development of the Les Schwab Tire Center marks a significant change for the area and brings new business and services to the corner of East Main Street and Boyer Drive. Construction work is progressing and it’s expected that the center will open its doors to customers in the near future.
