Lakeland Community College in Kirtland is hosting a series of free events this spring to showcase their healthcare programs. The college offers 11 events through April, highlighting the latest and high-growth career opportunities. The Open Day of Health Programs will be held on April 4 from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm at Lakeland’s campus at 7700 Clocktower Drive in Kirtland. Walk-ins are welcome, although registration is recommended.
Lakeland’s classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including breathing mannequins, a mock operating room, hospital beds and a life-size emergency room simulator. Regina Prosser, dean of health technologies at Lakeland, emphasized the outstanding employment rates for people with degrees and certificates in the college’s health programs. A total of 21 health programs are offered at the college, providing an opportunity for prospective students to speak directly with faculty and identify their area of interest.
Some programs place students in the workforce in as little as eight weeks, offering affordable training for high-demand careers. As demand for healthcare professionals continues to grow, Lakeland offers a range of healthcare programs that provide students with practical skills and knowledge to succeed in the industry.
