Congratulations to the fifth-grade students at Julian Thomas Elementary School in Racine for their outstanding participation in the nearly two-month-long Fresh Air Science Fair! The fair began on February 1, with students forming teams and creating projects that brought the concepts of clean air pollution to life. Applications were evaluated based on the quality of research and data analysis, as well as the creativity of their presentations.

The award ceremony was held on Wednesday, March 27, where the winners were announced and the prizes were distributed. Special guests, including Milwaukee Bucks mascot Bang Bang and the trampoline dunk team, the Rim Rockers, attended the event. First-place team members each received three tickets to the Bucks’ April 10 game against the Orlando Magic, along with transportation to and from the game and vouchers for concession stands for use at Fiserv Forum during the game. The second and third place teams received Bucks merchandise as prizes.

This event is made possible through a collaboration between Modine, the Milwaukee Bucks, the Racine Unified School District and the United Way of Racine County. Thank you to everyone involved for making this a fantastic opportunity for these young students to learn about science and have fun at the same time!
