Collin Murray-Boyles, a 6-foot-7, 231-pound freshman from Columbia, SC, was named Freshman of the Week for his outstanding performance in wins over Ole Miss and Vanderbilt. He averaged 23.5 points, eight rebounds and 1.5 blocks in those games. In two games, he shot 78.6 percent from the floor and scored a career-high 31 points on 14-of-17 shooting (82.4 percent), along with seven rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block against the Commodores.

On the other hand, Tyrese Radford, a 190-pound, 6-foot-3 Texas A&M running back and Baton Rouge graduate, was named Player of the Week for his impressive performances in wins at Missouri and against No. 6 Tennessee. He averaged 24.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in those games. In the win against Tennessee, he scored 27 points on 9-of-17 shooting (52.9 percent), with five rebounds and an assist.
