Frankie Muniz is set to make his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut on February 17 at Daytona International Speedway. He will drive the No. 35 Ford Mustang for Joey Gase Motorsports, with Ford Performance as the title sponsor. Muniz will run a limited schedule in Xfinity this season, with details to be announced at a later date.

Last season, Muniz competed full-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 30 Ford for Rete Jones Racing. He finished fourth in the championship standings after recording 11 top-10 finishes and one top-five finish.

The team announced that the No. 35 team won the owner’s points in the No. 25 spot, previously held by the No. 24 Sam Hunt Racing Toyota. Team owner Joey Gase expressed his pride in welcoming Frankie to the team and praised Muniz’s determination and focus. Gase is looking forward to teaming up with Muniz as a teammate in the #53 National Crime Prevention Council car at Daytona.
