On April 3, the Museum of Science and Industry in Hyde Park closed unexpectedly for maintenance. The reason for the closure was the relocation of military artifacts from the museum’s archives. To ensure the proper and safe disposal of these items, specially trained military personnel and local officials were on site.

As a precaution, the Museum has decided to close its doors to the public during this process. However, visitors can look forward to its reopening with regular business hours on Thursday. Wednesday ticket holders will be refunded or can call 773-684-1414 to reschedule their reservation.

The museum is a popular attraction in Hyde Park and offers a wide range of exhibits and educational programs for visitors of all ages. Its dedication to preserving and displaying important artifacts such as military memorabilia is evident in the careful handling of these items during the relocation process.
