Wide receiver Quintez Cephus, who was cut and suspended a year ago, is returning to the NFL. His agents announced that he had signed contracts with a new team, the Buffalo Bills.
Cephus, 26, was drafted by the Lions in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft and spent three seasons in Detroit, recording 37 catches for 568 yards and four touchdowns. However, he was suspended indefinitely for violating the NFL’s gambling policy last year, which led to the Lions releasing him.
After being reinstated last week, Cephus found a new opportunity with the Bills. The team is in need of help at the wide receiver position and Cephus seems to have a good chance to make the team and contribute to their offense with his previous experience and skill set. This new opportunity allows Cefus to showcase his talent and continue his career in the NFL.
