Georgia Softball Blasts Kennesaw State with Power and Pitching in Commanding 10-1 Victory

Georgia softball emerged victorious in a 10-1 rout of Kennesaw State, with nine runs scored in the first two innings. The Bulldogs nearly doubled their previous game’s total of four runs and five hits, with 11 hits and 10 runs in this contest. Madison Kearney led the charge with two runs scored in the first inning, while Sydney Chamblee and Sarah Mosley also hit home runs.

The Bulldogs’ pitching was strong despite a fielding error that allowed Kennesaw State to score in the first inning. Starter Shelby Walters earned the win after going two innings, allowing three hits and striking out two batters. The team used a total of four pitchers, who allowed just four hits and three walks while striking out five.

Georgia showcased its depth on the field, with 15 different players seeing action compared to just eight for Kennesaw State. After a successful stint on the road, the Bulldogs will return home to face No. 20 Arkansas in their upcoming SEC series on Saturday, March 30 at noon.
