This holiday season, Google has launched its latest ‘Black Friday’ initiative in partnership with American company Black Chambers, Inc. The program aims to highlight and support black-owned businesses and products, encouraging customers to buy from smaller, local brands.

Now in its fourth year, the Black Owned Friday program features a mini-site showcasing products from black-owned businesses, along with a new music video by actor Keke Palmer. Additionally, there is a dedicated search tool to help customers find local black-owned businesses and a collection of tips for these brands to maximize their seasonal promotions.

Google’s initiative aims to provide a more specific focus for smaller brands in the Black Friday rush of big names, potentially helping to expand the reach and sales potential of black-owned organizations. This program is a positive step toward supporting and celebrating black-owned businesses and products during the holiday shopping season.
