Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce may be known for his talent on the field, but his mother, Donna Kelse, is just as recognizable for her famous chocolate chip cookies. According to People, Donna Kelce, 71, learned about a mug that caught her eye which read “It’s Mama Kelce’s world and we’re just living in it.” So impressed was she with the mug that she bought 20 cups as Christmas gifts for loved ones.

These mugs are not ordinary mugs; they contain the full recipe and instructions for Donna Kelce’s brownie recipe and retail for about $18. They are made by a small business in the Kansas City area, Annie’s Barn, and with every cup sold, $5 goes toward paying off elementary school lunch debt. After the mug caught Donna’s eye, she agreed to donate her cookie recipe to the mug project. Annie’s Barn owner Annie Stowe told People that the mugs sold enough to pay off about $2,000 in school lunch debt in just two weeks.

Stowe also noted that Donna Kelleys became famous for her cookies after making some for her sons Travis and Jason before they met at Super Bowl LVII in February 2023. The cookies are special because they are flat and more like caramel cookies. The first time she baked them, they came out flat. When she reached out to Donna Kelce, she told her she did it right – cookies were meant to be flat.

Donna is currently in Las Vegas watching Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs play the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl. Sports fans interested in supporting the cause can visit the Annie’s Barn website and purchase a “Mama Kelce” mug. Not only will they get a really good cookie recipe but also contribute to a great cause!
