


Submitted photo: Central Iowa claimed 18 person All-Americans in 22 events at the NJCAA Indoor National Track and Field Championships earlier this month.

Fresh off an additional productive indoor season, the Iowa Central track and field group is prepared to take its talents outdoors.
The outside portion of the schedule for the Tritons starts this Saturday when they travel to Emporia, Kan. at the ESU Spring Invitational.
At the current indoor state championships, Aries Scott won the Heptathlon title, Roman Kuleshov was runner-up in the extended jump and placed third in the triple jump to lead the Tritons to a fourth-location finish general.
On the women’s side, Chloe Garcia Graffing was a double third-location finisher and Adeja Brewster also won bronze as Iowa Central was sixth.
“We had some unbelievable person performances at the national indoor meet,” ICCC head coach Dee Brown stated. “We have excellent momentum from regionals and nationals to aid us obtain our outside objectives.”
“But we’re normally aiming for extra, so that left us with some objectives for this outside season and the motivation to attain these objectives.”
Former Munson Northwest Webster standouts Paige Condon and Lexi Wood had sturdy showings at indoor nationals. Condon was ninth in the Penathlon, though Wood was ninth in the shot place.
Jonathan Astor, who competed at state for Fort Dodge Senior Higher, is also on the roster along with Webster City’s Kaija Levongkom, Clarion-Goldfield/Daws’ Isaiah Nebe and Emmettsburg’s Raylen Williams.
The schedule will see the Tritons return to Kansas along with trips to Minnesota and Missouri in March prior to competing quite a few occasions subsequent month in preparation for the KSI Area five-7 Championships. May perhaps in Council Bluffs.
The NJCAA Outside Championships are scheduled for six-eight p.m. May perhaps in Hobbs, NM
Brown will be assisted by Jonathan Alexis, Kelsey Stonehawker, Alexis Kauslarich and Tre Lathan.
