Ladonna Lynn Phelps, a beloved nurse who devoted her life to caring for others, passed away peacefully at her home in Newton Falls on November 16, 2023. Born to Leon and Lillian Reynolds Garrett in Elberton, Georgia on January 16, 1959, LaDonna was a Christian who attended the Elberton Church of God. She graduated from Elbert County High School and went on to earn a degree in Nursing from Athens Technical School.
LaDonna dedicated over 30 years of her life to working as a nurse before retiring from her last job at Victoria’s House in 2021. In her spare time, she enjoyed various creative hobbies such as crocheting, sewing, baking, playing the piano and painting. On April 25, 1995, LaDonna married Walter Phelps and was survived by her mother Lillian, her husband Walter, her sons Wesley Davis and Tyler Phelps, her daughter Julie Davis, her brother Keith
