Jesse Ventura, the former Governor of Minnesota, has recently announced his involvement in the cannabis industry. He has partnered with Retro Bakeries, a Columbia Heights hemp company, to produce a line of Ventura-branded edibles. In his announcement, Ventura expressed his excitement at being able to share products from a factory that has had a positive impact on his life.

The partnership between Ventura and Retro Bakeries will be known as “Jesse Ventura Farms.” Ventura mentioned that he carefully considered different cannabis companies before choosing Retro Bakeries, a small black-owned business located near where he raised his family. His son, Tyrell Ventura, explained that Retro Bakeries will use Ventura’s name and intellectual property to create different product lines in the future.

Ventura has been a vocal advocate for the legalization of marijuana for many years and has testified in support of it at the State Capitol. He shared his personal experience of how the drug helped relieve his wife’s seizures a decade ago. Last year, when Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz signed legislation legalizing recreational marijuana, Ventura and his wife stood with him in support of the bill.

A portion of the proceeds from certain Jesse Ventura Farms-branded products will be donated to charities focused on environmental cleanup, veterans and individuals affected by the war on drugs. The partnership between Jesse Ventura and Retro Bakeries is an exciting development in the cannabis industry and we look forward to seeing what they come up with next.
