Jim Harbaugh, the new head coach of the Chargers, will have a familiar face on his team as he signed running back Ben Mason on Tuesday. During his time at Michigan, Mason displayed his versatility by playing multiple positions such as tight end, defensive lineman and running back over a four-year stretch.

Mason’s college career saw him rush 37 times for 87 yards and nine touchdowns, while also catching a touchdown pass and making 14 tackles. Despite being drafted by the Ravens in the third round of the 2021 draft, Mason failed to secure a roster spot with the team. He later had brief stints with the Patriots and Bears before returning to Baltimore and playing in one game last season.

Now, with a fresh start with the Chargers, Mason will have the opportunity to continue his NFL journey under the guidance of his former college coach, Jim Harbaugh. With Harbaugh by his side, Mason will be able to showcase his skills and potentially make an impact in the league.
