The Los Angeles Lakers are proving that they are more than just a one-man show, as they managed to secure a doubleheader win against the Milwaukee Bucks without the help of LeBron James. Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves played key roles in leading the team to a 128-124 victory, coming back from a 19-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

Davis made a game-saving block on Damian Lillard to force the first overtime and ultimately seal the victory in the second overtime. He had an outstanding performance with 34 points, 23 rebounds, four blocks, two steals and two assists in a game-high 52 minutes. Reaves recorded a triple-double with 29 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. D’Angelo Russell also made a significant contribution with 29 points and 12 assists.

The Lakers’ trio of Davis, Reaves and Russell were key to the comeback in the fourth quarter, where the Bucks had a commanding lead. Despite some missed opportunities by the Bucks, including Giannis Antetokounmpo’s struggle at the free throw line, the Lakers were able to capitalize in the second overtime.

This win marks their sixth win in 10 games without James this season. Without him on their roster, they have shown resilience and determination to succeed as they continue to battle for playoff contention in the Western Conference.

With their fourth straight win, the Lakers now boast a record of 40 wins and 32 losses. This puts them ninth place in the Western Conference, just two games behind eighth-place Phoenix Suns.

The Lakers have proven that they can still be successful even without their star player LeBron James on board. Their recent victory against Milwaukee is evidence of this fact.
