This week, high school sports in Lenawee County are in full swing. On Monday, the women’s soccer teams began their season with Clinton defeating Tecumseh 8-2. Aubrey Lauer scored an impressive six goals for Clinton, while Anna Schaffner added two more goals and two assists. Kaylee Reiser also had two assists. Goalie Jackie Whiting made six saves for Clinton. In the second game, Monroe beat Blissfield 7-2.

In lacrosse, the Tecumseh girls opened their season with a tough 16-4 loss to Sylvania Northview. Saphira Williams and Emily Burgess each scored a goal and added an assist for Tecumseh. Jayden Pauly and Jazzlyn Roe also scored a goal in the game. Despite their efforts, Tecumseh struggled to keep up with the visiting team from Ohio.
