The highly anticipated video game “Madden NFL 25” features San Francisco 49ers star running back Christian McCaffrey on the cover and introduces new physics technology. EA Sports released a trailer on Thursday showcasing the new “BOOM Tech” system, which is designed to give users more control over the ball carrier’s attacks and movements. This physics-based system takes into account various factors such as timing, swing, weight, speed, power and player ratings to create more dynamic and authentic physical results.
The game’s website explains that the new data-driven physics system improves 1-on-1 ball impact, resulting in a wider range of explosive and realistic results when battling or using the kick function. In addition, a new “Balance and Recovery System” has been introduced for fullbacks, giving players more flexibility to stay on their feet based on the quality of tackle attempts and the skill level of the ball carrier.
Players can expect to see new Steelers quarterback Justin Fields in action during the game, as he is shown in the trailer returning a kickoff. Despite rumors and speculation that Fields could join the special teams unit this season, the former Bear stated that he has no interest in doing so. However, Madden NFL 25 may reveal otherwise. The video game will be released on August 16th.
