SCOTTSBURGH, Ind. (Want) — A Scottsburg business enterprise owner was arrested Friday and faces a number of felony charges following an Indiana State Police investigation that started in March.

In March, the business enterprise vendor contacted Detective Tim Denby of the ISP’s Specific Investigations Division. The seller alleged that 57-year-old John Gibbs, owner of Gibbs Innovate Companies Inc., engaged in fraudulent business enterprise practices.

Scottsburg is in southern Indiana, about half an hour north of Louisville.

The seller told investigators that Gibbs apparently paid for the solutions rendered with a fraudulent verify for far more than $ten,000. Denby later discovered via investigation that the verify was written on the day Gibbs closed the linked checking account.

Through the investigation, Denby discovered of a number of other vendors to whom Gibbs’ corporation owed massive payments for operate completed at the Scottsburg plant. These vendors integrated a variety of contractors in southern Indiana and a regional monetary institution.
