The Cherokee Nation Men’s Seminary Recreation Center, also known as “Marcoma,” offers a variety of sports leagues and fitness classes for all ages and abilities. Terry Hooper, Chief Recreation Specialist at the center, is excited to welcome everyone to participate and stay healthy.

Cherokee Nation citizens can access gym equipment and fitness classes for free, while non-citizens can join for a $20 membership fee. The center hosts various leagues throughout the year, starting with a fall basketball league in November and continuing with volleyball, pickleball, cornball and softball. In addition, there is a senior class that meets on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, where they play table volleyball and enjoy staying active.

The Male Seminary Recreation Center is located at 1501 Graham Ave in Tahlequah and is open daily with varying hours Monday through Thursday, Friday and weekends. Those interested can call 918-453-5496 for more information on joining the leagues or accessing the gym equipment and classes available at the center.
