Martavis Bryant’s Quest for Redemption Falters: End of Dallas Cowboys Chapter

The Dallas Cowboys have decided to part ways with wide receiver Martavis Bryant, bringing an end to his latest attempt to return to the NFL. Despite being signed to the Dallas practice squad last season, Bryant was unable to secure a spot on the active roster.

Martavis Bryant, a 32-year-old player, has not played in an NFL game since November 11, 2018 when he was with the Oakland Raiders before their move to Las Vegas. Throughout his career, he has faced multiple suspensions for substance abuse.

Bryant was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft and showed early promise by catching eight touchdowns in ten games during his freshman year. However, his career has been marred by suspensions, with his first coming before his sophomore season.

Despite a suspension that kept him out of football for the entire 2016 season, Bryant returned in 2017 with a record-breaking 765 receiving yards. However, another suspension followed at the end of the 2018 season before he was traded to the Raiders.

The Cowboys took a chance on Bryant nearly five years after his most recent suspension but it seems that his time in Dallas has come to an end as they have decided not to renew his contract.
