In recent days, rumors have been circulating about new characters and collaborations set to join Fortnite, the hugely popular third-person shooter developed by Epic Games. Known for its crossovers with skins of iconic characters from other successful franchises like Solid Snake and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Fortnite is preparing to welcome even more heroes from different worlds.
According to sources close to the matter, Epic Games has struck a multi-million dollar deal with Disney, Marvel’s parent company, to accelerate collaboration in the coming months. This could mean that characters from the One Piece universe, Spider-Man’s Doctor Octopus, He-Man and Skeletor, as well as DC Comics figures such as Peacemaker and Robin could be joining the game soon. In addition, characters from the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and collaborations with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth are also being considered.
While Epic Games has not yet officially confirmed this collaboration, it is widely speculated that Marvel characters would be a natural fit for Fortnite given its partnership with Disney. With data mining revealing many innovations in advance and licensing issues being the only obstacle to collaboration, it seems likely that these new heroes will be joining Fortnite in the near future.
