The Israeli Ministry of Health has issued an appeal to the medical faculties of Israeli universities to enroll foreign medical students who were forced to halt their studies abroad in order to fulfill their reserve service obligations under Order Number 8. The ministry anticipates that approximately 200 foreign students may lose a year of study due to the fact that the academic year began on schedule abroad, while in Israel it was postponed until the end of December owing to the conflict. In order to assist these universities and coordinate with hospitals, the ministry has pledged to provide support and practical training placements for these students.
