On Saturday, November 25th, the City of Medina will join in on Small Business Saturday to showcase and promote the local businesses that make their community unique. Small Business Saturday is a part of a nationwide “Small Business Movement” founded by American Express in 2010 to support small businesses and communities across the country.

From noon to 2:00 pm, Santa Claus will be stopping by Wichert Insurance at 119 N. Court St. for some holiday cheer and photo opportunities with children. Additionally, a table with “Shop Small” materials and information about Medina’s diverse small business community will be set up in the Huntington Bank lobby located at 39 Public Square. This table will provide shoppers with maps of local businesses, coupons and other resources to help them navigate the city’s many offerings.

According to a recent press release from Main Street Medina, over 90% of the business district’s storefronts are filled with locally-owned independent retail stores, boutiques, restaurants and pubs, along with a variety of services. The complete list of local businesses can be found on their website at .
