INDIAN WELLS, Calif. (AP) — Daniil Medvedev beat Francis Tiafoe 7-five, 7-six (four) on Saturday for his 19th straight match win of the year and a berth in the BNP Paribas Open final.

Medvedev will play for the title on Sunday against the winner of the second semifinal in between major seed Carlos Alcaraz or 11th seed Yannick Sinner.

Medvedev, the fifth seed, dominated Tiafoe, winning all 5 of their profession meetings, like 12 of 13 sets in the procedure.

Medvedev’s winning streak dates back to his title run in Rotterdam in February. He then won tournaments in Doha and Dubai. Now the 2021 US Open champion and former planet No. 1 is in position to add a further.

Medvedev proved resilient throughout the 12-day tournament in the Southern California desert. He overcame a badly twisted ankle and a reduce thumb in two consecutive matches and created it to the finals.

Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Sinjakova won the women’s doubles title with a six-1, six-7 (three), ten-7 win more than Brazil’s Beatriz Haddad Maya and Germany’s Laura Ziegemund.

The Czech duo enhanced to 11- this year just after winning the Australian Championships in January. They shared $436,730 in prize funds.
